Duties
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software interface and interoperability problems in response to system failures.
Plan, schedule, and conduct the installation of new or modified hardware, operating systems, and applications software.
Provide day-to-day support of network systems and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) system.
Develop and document standard operating procedures.
Apply Information Technology (IT) Security related patches to PCs.
Team lead for Regional Technical Team.
Enterprise Technical Liaison.
Qualifications

Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate. For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
To qualify at the GS-12, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-11 level in federal service having demonstrated experience with local/wide area network (LAN\WAN) and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)\Telecom Configuration Tier 1 & 2 support such as advanced planning of the installation, testing, operation, upgrading, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network devices such as routers, switches; Configuring telecom devices such as Private Branch Exchange (PBX), Internet Protocol (IP) phone systems, and gateways to ensure proper configuration and functionality; advanced management in at least one of the following: Network management or VoIP systems.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-In-Grade: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower-grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions and any selective placement factors if applicable, by 09/09/2024.
