As a IT Spec (APPSW/SYSADMIN), you will serve as both a project manager and key technical expert in order to provide and deliver software and systems planning, analysis, design, project management and maintenance support for Critical Control Center Systems software applications required to support the real time operation of an interconnected utility.
This is not a remote position. The selectee will be required to be physically present at the Loveland, CO duty location.
Duties
As an IT Spec (APPSW/SYSADMIN) you will perform the following duties at the full performance level:
Qualifications
You must meet all the qualification and eligibility requirements for the position by the closing date of the announcement.
You must have experience demonstrating each of the four (4) competencies listed below. The experience must be IT related and may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification) as appropriate.
Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification) as appropriate.
In addition to the above, applicants must meet the following specialized experience requirements:
At the GS-12 level. Your resume must indicate that you have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as meeting at least 2 of the 4 items below:
Experience in process control systems IT applications (such as SCADA or other energy management applications).
Experience with electrical system drawings (such as, substation or transmission system single line drawings).
Experience in basic software / hardware integration.
Experience with bulk electric system devices (RTUs, PLCs, breakers, switches, other substation equipment)
At the GS-13 level: Your resume must indicate that you have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as meeting at least 3 of the 4 items below:
Experience in process control systems IT applications (such as SCADA or other energy management applications).
Experience with electrical system drawings (such as, substation or transmission system single line drawings).
Experience in basic software / hardware integration.
Experience with bulk electric system devices (RTUs, PLCs, breakers, switches, other substation equipment)
