You will serve as a Supervisory Training Administrator in the Mechanical Division (TRF-320), Repair Department (TRF-300) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

Duties

You will coordinate and direct the Mechanical and Electrical Divisions Trade Theory, Skills, Safety, Environmental, Special Equipment and Supervisory Development training. You will be responsible to manage and direct the Mechanical and Electrical Divisions training program. You will approve at the division level the objectives and scope of each training course and its contents, the priority and resources required and the method of criteria for evaluating work practices in order to improve training procedures. You will approve the training schedule and allocation of required facilities, testing material and equipment. You will review budget requests for the training requirements of the Mechanical and Electrical Divisions. You will be responsible for Mechanical and Electrical Divisions apprentice training. You will perform research and development of Columbia-class Submarine Mechanical and Electrical Divisions training.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • Shift and overtime assignments will be made to meet operational needs.
  • May be required to travel as the need arises for purposes such as training, attendance at meetings and participation of work efforts at other shore activities.
  • This position requires an IT-II level designation.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience and/or general knowledge of submarine mechanical and electrical components (motors, pumps, valves, etc.) and systems, precision measuring instruments (PMI), blueprint and schematic reading, Maintenance Standards and assembly drawings. Experience effectively interfacing with the Division Heads, Apprentice Program Administrator, Training Instructors and Leaders; Engineering Technicians, Subject Matter Experts, Supervisors and military personnel (Enlisted and Officers). Experience with work practices and maintenance requirements related to electroplating practices. Experience overseeing and implement training schedules and determine sequence of instruction. Experience and/or the ability to provide overall supervision to the Mechanical and Electrical Division Training Instructors and administer (direct, plan and coordinate) the Training Programs and Operations.
