You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the Production Resources Training Division of Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF).
Duties
You will provide guidance, assistance, and direction to the naval shipyard in the application of ISD and technology to the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of shipyard training.
You will provide support and direction to all aspects of the technical and contractual development of a wide variety of training systems from traditional, to web-based and emerging technology programs and products.
You will prepare lesson plans and training materials based on course objectives.
You will provide for training and development of training personnel in ISD processes and techniques.
You will schedule and coordinate classroom sessions designed to provide, update, and improve and upgrade the knowledge and skills of shipyard personnel.
You will serve as an expert adviser in adult education and instructional methodologies, providing direction, advice, and counsel to shipyard subject matter experts and instructional design team members regarding learning strategies.
You will provide consulting services to various customers regarding the production of audiovisual, computer-based, videotape, web-based products.
You will provide support in technology training advancements, instructional system design (ISD) and instruction, and incorporate training initiatives for the Central Design Group (CDG) and NAVSEA.

- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
For the GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying training principles, techniques, and practices to develop, evaluate, and modify training materials and activities (e.g., Instructional System Design, training technology advancements, corporate training initiatives) in support of an organizational training program.
For the GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying training principles, techniques, and practices to evaluate and modify training materials and activities (e.g., Instructional System Design, training technology advancements, corporate training initiatives) in support of an organizational training program.

For the GS-11:
- Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or
- Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree; or
