You will serve as a WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST in the Navy Office of Information of CHINFO WASHINGTON DC.
Duties
You will serve as SME on Navy Public Affairs community practices to Navy and other Department of Defense (DoD) personnel managing professional development programs.
You will review and manage a portfolio of training, education, and professional development activities, ensuring alignment with Navy mission priorities and careerist preferences.
You will determine, justify, and prepare write-ups for resource requirements for training and development programs, including defending these requirements through the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and Unfunded Requirement (UFR) processes.
You will oversee the recruitment, nomination, and selection processes for civilian personnel attending training programs, and manage the approval process and execution of Career Program (CP) funding allocations.
You will conduct staff support visits, represent the Department of the Navy at various conferences and workshops, and maintain effective working relationships with subject matter experts to create innovative training opportunities.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience with assisting in the design and implementation of community talent development, professional development, and employee engagement and training programs to meet organizational goals.
Experience developing and executing communication strategies, plans, and tactics to inform personnel about professional development requirements, opportunities, programs, and awards.
Experience managing resource requirements for training and development programs to enhance career management programs, improve productivity, and support command operations.
