You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the BUSINESS OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NAVY PERSONNEL COMMAND.
Duties
You will review budget requests for conformance to policies and regulations.
You will research budget/accounting information to resolve discrepancies.
You will report obligation and expenditure of funds to leadership.
You will determine most cost effective use of funds to ensure funds are not over or under obligated.

- This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Evaluating budget requests against controls to ensure funding is available for use; 2) Monitoring budget execution to determine compliance with plans and procedures; 3) Preparing budget summaries for managers to use in decision making; and 4) Reviewing obligations and expenditures to ensure compliance with financial plans, policies and procedures.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
