You will serve as a PLANNER & ESTIMATOR (MARINE MACHINERY MECHANIC) in the NUCLEAR ENGINEERING & PLANNING DEPARTMENT (CODE 2300) of PSNS and IMF.

Duties

You will plan for manufacturing projects, new construction, nuclear refueling, conversion and overhaul work to be accomplished within the framework of directives, specifications and design plans. You will prepare job orders which delineate work to be accomplished by codes and Production Department shops. You will estimate time, labor and material costs to do such work and initiate requisition material for nuclear and nuclear associated work. You will translate correspondence into job orders to shops and occupational groups, designating shops involved and also detailing work to be done by each shop in proper sequence.

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
