You will serve as a MARINE MACHINERY MECHANIC TRAINING LEADER in the Mechanical Machinery Shop, Production Resources Department, of PSNS and IMF.

Duties

You will teach the theories of the trade and prepare necessary lesson material(s), and present other courses such as: Shop Math, Drawing, Blueprint reading. You will prepare daily lesson plans and develop training aids such as: handouts, mock-ups, slides, computer-based lectures. You will coordinate training for each area of the workload requirements and specific work requirements. You will perform as an advisor/counselor to upper management on any training related subject that deals with Continuous Training and Development. You will be required to be a fully qualified Marine Machinery Mechanic journeymen and posses a knowledge and skills of all tools, machines, processes, shop and ship areas, and the working elements of the trade.

• Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
