You will serve as a MARINE MACHINERY MECHANIC SUPV II in the Production Resources Department, Mechanical Group, Marine Machinery Shop of PSNS and IMF.

Duties

You will determine manpower, tooling, material availability, and methods to be used in completing work assignments. You will organize, coordinate, and direct the work of subordinate supervisors. You will check work operations and review completed work and inspection reports. You will establish priorities and coordinate production work activities within established time frames. You will analyze technical documents to understand the function and interconnections of components, such as materials or assemblies.

• Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
