You will serve as a PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST in the Public Affairs Officer, Office of the Present, U.S. Naval War College (NWC) of NAVAL WAR COLLEGE.

Duties

You will serve as a Web Content Manager. You will serve as a lead administrator for college public Internet and social media sites. You will prepare analytics, progress reports, and recommendations for web-based communication initiatives. You will establish and maintain data files fo briefings, photographs and audiovisual materials. You will manage contractor support for external website, such as redesign or short-term projects. You will collaborate with other departments for technical development issues and graphic and design elements. You will ensure content on the website is appropriate for public distribution and take steps to correct or remove inappropriate content.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing programs to identify the characteristics of target audiences to determine the most effective communication techniques to use in reaching audience. Developing innovative strategies for providing information to the public and select audiences using the web as a communication tool. Managing a website by analyzing, planning, developing, writing, and creating web content. Researching, and disseminating sensitive, critical, and/or complex information for web publishing.
