Duties
Prepares or insures the preparation of military personnel actions
Advises supported units and personnel on military personnel and pay questions
Ensures compliance with internal controls to minimize pay problems and inquiries
Reviews incoming regulations and directives relating to administration, military personnel and finance programs
Distributes and balances the workload among employees
Reports to supervisor on performance, progress and training needs of employees
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- THIS POSITION REQUIRES ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP AS A SOLDIER IN THE U.S. ARMY RESERVE (USAR).
- This position may require weekend work.

This is a military technician position with the US Army Reserves. In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or education requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes preparing military personnel actions, researching pay complaints, analyzing pay issues, reviewing incoming regulations, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations, advising on pay and personnel processes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. [remove LL.B or J.D., if unrelated] in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration or Human Resources.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
