You will serve as a RESOURCES SPECIALIST in the RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT GROUP, WEAPONS & ENERGETICS DEPT, WEAPONS SYS & PROJECT ENGINEERING DIV, PROJECT SECURITY TEST SUPPORT BR of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

You will execute complex weapon crypto keying for flight testing in support of both Air Force and US Navy platforms. You will develop tasking for working groups and lead the working groups in technical aspects to solve complex problems. You will brief the Program Director, Sponsors and other high level positions outside of Weapons Department on system issues and recommend courses of action to implement solutions. You will oversee KEYMAT management, to include: ordering, distributing, and loading KEYMAT, in accordance with Program and COMSEC requirements. You will oversee/support test operations (flight, ground or lab) for all aspects of asset Security/COMSEC.

  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Flight line Drivers Licenses.
  • You will be required to obtain a TACLANE Certification.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current courier card.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 723, proficiency level intermediate. The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11/12) or pay band (DA-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Performing work related to flight test support; 2) Utilizing knowledge of EKMS1 (electronic key management system) to perform work; 3) Experience pertaining to classified office operations, laboratory testing, aircraft ground and flight testing to support joint service programs; 4) Assisting with the execution of complex joint acquisition programs.
