You will serve as a INSTALLATION PLANS PROGRAMS AND READINESS INTEGRATOR in the NAVY COMMAND OFFICE of NAVAL AIR WEAPONS STATION CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will perform analytical and evaluative work in determining the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of the program and the accomplishment of objectives
You will research, draft and present project papers, staff reports, and briefings to senior leadership on findings and recommendations.
You will monitor business practices of all Region programs at the Installation level and identify problem areas.
You will provide management oversight of day-to-day business operations for Installation and tenant activities.
You will participate in the selection process of key civilian staff members at the installation level.
You will oversee the revision of long range plans, goals and objectives for the work of an organization.
You will adapt departmental policies or procedures to establish methods of operation.
You will create strategic plans to meet long term goals.
You will analyze budget, staffing resources and organization structure to determine the most efficient procedure for integrating these resources
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- Overtime on weekends sometimes required.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Analyzing program performance data to identify issues, make recommendations for improvement, and drive innovation; 2) Analyzing and interpreting complex intricacies involved in the application of related laws, regulations, policies, precedents, methods and techniques of program management and planning, as well as resource management; 3) Serving as technical advisor to program managers/directors on business performance tools and processes; 4) Addressing prospective changes in functions and programs in short and long-range planning for a large organization; 5) Analyzing resource program effectiveness and developing recommendations for Senior Leadership; and 6) Developing and recommending changes to measure program accomplishments, results or effectiveness. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The work is primarily sedentary although some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of documents and office items is required. Manual dexterity is required in operation of office equipment. Travel to meeting/conferences and Region/CNIC Headquarters is required by motor vehicle, boat, and plane.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work is performed mostly in an office setting. Work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. However, due to the geographical dispersion of personnel, the incumbent may be required to travel to outlying locations throughout the commuting area and overnight travel may be required to enterprise locations outside the commuting area. Overtime on weekends sometimes required. Occasional visits to commercial offices/sites may be required. No special safety precautions or protective clothing are needed.
