About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.
Duties
Serves as Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER) Exercise Planner within the Exercise Branch within the G35/7 Directorate.
Attends coordination meetings, conferences and Working Groups, and prepares reports relating the general conduct of the meetings, conferences, and WG.
Recommend changes to current analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to improve the effectiveness of operations.
Oversees the planning and development of resources in support of exercises and represents the command in the development, coordination, and conduct of intra-service planning conferences.
Prepare mission need statements and operational requirements documents.
Supports the development of emerging doctrine and tactics, techniques, and procedures across ARCYBER mission areas. Familiarization with and understand of the Joint Event Life Cycle.
Identifies problems and makes periodic adjustments to meet objectives.
Represents ARCYBER at all senior level meetings, conferences, work groups, and other professional meetings as related to tactical level offensive cyberspace operations, defensive cyberspace operations, and electronic warfare (EW).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must undergo and successfully complete an initial and periodic Counter-Intelligence Polygraph (CI Poly) examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI).
- Must pass an initial and periodic urinalysis screening for illegal drug use.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain access to NSA and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) accredited facilities and networks. [Military External Affairs Division (MEAD) Security In-Processing (SIP) process.]
- Temporary duty travel may be required approximately 20% of the time.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a three year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in DoDI 1400.25 V3005, Cyber Excepted Service, Employment and Placement.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe One Year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by:
1. Developing scenarios utilized to measure performance of Cyberspace Operations (CO) tasks to ensure achievement of Operation/Contingency Plan CO objectives.
2. Reviewing exercise data to publish after action reports and submit Lessons Learned into local and higher echelon databases (i.e. Army's Center for Lessons Learned, Joint Lessons Learned Information System).
3. Synchronizing cyberspace exercise events (i.e. injects, controller actions) with other exercise stakeholders to ensure training and Mission Essential Task List (METL) objectives are met and adhere to doctrine.
4. Incorporating emerging Cyberspace Operations doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures and doctrinally sound, theater specific lessons learned injects into training/exercise events.
