Duties

Serve as advisor and coordinator for agency drug testing, risk reduction programs on all matters related to substance misuse. Develop and conduct community awareness programs. Design special courses in response to identified trends and needs of serviced organizations. Develop prevention campaigns and publicize services available for Civilian employees. Serve as consultant to senior officials on matters pertaining to collection procedures. Serve as representative to Installation prevention team analyzing data gathered in unit risk inventories and reports. Prepare budgetary data for all components of organization drug testing programs are adequately funded, distributed and utilized. Plan and execute the organization drug testing program for a drug free workplace.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed Secret background investigation.
  • This position requires that the employee occasionally travel away from the normal duty station up to 25% of the time.
  • May be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include overtime, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • One year trial period may be required.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). Basic Education Requirements:


Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. (TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE ATTACHED)
OR
Combination of education and experience -- that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. (TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE ATTACHED)
OR
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
OR
3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. (TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE ATTACHED)
