About the Position: This position serves as an Administrative Support Assistant (Office Automation) for the Army Training Support Center (ATSC), Enterprise Operations Division, Fort Eustis, VA.

Duties

As an Administrative Support Assistant (Office Automation), you will perform duties to include, but not limited to the following: Acts as liaison between supervisor and staff officers in relaying requests and obtaining information. Serves as the Army Record Information System (ARIMS) Records Coordinator. Responsible for the overall operation and daily functioning of the office. Participates in identifying and resolving problems arising from internal administrative activities.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) travel may be required up to 5%.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). -OR- Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Management. NOTE: Transcripts are required at the time of application. -OR- Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. NOTE: Transcripts are required at the time of application. Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). *All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcement.
