About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at historic Fort Eustis, Virginia, known for its association with Army Transportation, Army Aviation, and is the home to the Army's Training and Doctrine Command.
Duties
Assists the Director, G2 Operations in all matters and missions.
Initiates operations planning and establishes communications with chain of command.
Coordinates, develops, and prepares operational requirements to accomplish the overall purpose and objectives of the TRADOC G-2.
Reviews and analyzes all incoming messages and other documents to determine requirements.
Develops execution orders after determining the best course of action with available resources.
Tasks the appropriate units or staff activities to complete the required missions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
- Requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 10% of the time.
- May be required to work various shifts, e.g. weekends, on-call, stand-by.

Experience collecting material for use in documents such as: reports, presentations, and/or briefings.
Experience screening correspondence prepared for grammatical and procedural correctness.
Experience coordinating and monitoring taskings for events.
