The mission of the NSD is to coordinate the Department's efforts in carrying out its core mission of combating terrorism and protecting national security. NSD is responsible for supervising the enforcement of all federal criminal laws related to counterterrorism and counterespionage, except those specifically assigned to other divisions.

This position serves as a Management and Program Analyst in the Department of Justice (DOJ), National Security Division (NSD), Foreign Investment Review Section (FIRS). NSD FIRS is responsible for DOJ's work to protect national security in foreign investments in the United States, telecommunications, and the information and communications technology and services (ICTS) supply chain, and to regulate the transfer of sensitive data through commercial transactions.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative office oversight and serve as a senior leadership advisor on a myriad of operational issues. This position also requires overseeing and leading high-level and high-priority operational initiatives on behalf of and as directed by the Chief and Principal Chief.
A Management and Program Analyst, at full performance level, will perform duties such as but not limited to:
Acting as primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for senior leadership regarding program management.
Taking lead in managing interoffice initiatives;
Developing, drafting, and negotiating internal section standard operating procedures, protocols, and related processes.
Requirements
- You must be a United States Citizen or National.
- You must successfully pass a security/background investigation and a drug screening.
- You must be a current permanent Department of Justice employee with competitive status or a CTAP/RPL eligible candidate.

Qualifications
To qualify for the position of Management and Program Analyst (FIRS), (GS-0343-14), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade.
If you are a current Department of Justice employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade.

To Qualify for the GS-0343-14 Management and Program Analyst position you must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing interagency portfolios, and responding to request from external stakeholders.
