About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers.

Duties

Assist in design review conferences, reviews preliminary plans and specifications prior to advertisement for practicability, anticipated physical obstructions and other construction difficulties and availability of selected materials. Prepare documentation and sketches of contract changes, estimates of costs for modifications, and takeoff of materials and equipment. Confer with co-workers on problems of control, inspection, administration, and safety and makes decisions for dealing with the particular problems. Review specification packages, design drawings, and independent government cost estimates for bid ability and constructability.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • One-year probationary period may be required
  • Employee must be physically able to operate the motor vehicle without danger to self or to others.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter. Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R, Condition of Employment for certain civilian positions identified as critical under the Drug Abuse Testing Program.
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
