This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), located in Washington, District of Columbia.

Duties

If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for supporting a full range of Program Analyst (Data Analytics) within Department of Health and Human Services/Administration for Children and Families/Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR). Typical work assignments include: Planning, analyzing, and evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of operational and policy program(s) within the Administration for Children and Families (ACF). Studying complex problems faced by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) involving operational or policy matters to determine the facts, define the issues, and recommend alternatives for resolving especially critical situations Providing analytical support and fulfill Refugee Arrivals Data Systems (RADS) data requests and across ORR divisions. Developing and taking responsibility for the implementation of special initiatives and projects that encompass innovative methods for accomplishing ORR's mission.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience: GS-13: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-12 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing (3) of the (4) duties listed below: Utilizing a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of federal refugee resettlement programs; Analyzing and interpreting program data and generating data reports utilizing expertise in data mining, cleaning and manipulating (SQL and R) database management (ex. Oracle, Google Big Query, MS Access); Performing data mining, cleaning and manipulating using Structured Query Language (SQL) and relational (R) to deliver statistical analyses and visualizations; Conducting data and statistical analyses to interpret, relate and report results for federal refugee resettlement programs.
