The primary purpose of this position is to manage all physical and personnel security functions within the USAF Distributed Mission Operations C enter (DMOC) for 705 Combat Training Squadron (CTS). DMOC's MAJCOM approved mission statement outlines responsibilities to include Air Combat Command (ACC) wide management of training, test, and experimentation.
Duties
Incumbent serves as the Security Manager for the collateral security function at 705 CTS and four contractor organizations in the DMOC, with emphasis on information protection, personnel, and physical security measures. Plans, develops, and reviews collateral-level security disciplines. Individual is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing security functions for the DMOC.
Individual will assist in the management of the unit's Information Protection Program in compliance with appropriate local and higher headquarters directives including the physical security and industrial security programs for assigned personnel and contractor agencies. Ensures programs are in compliance with Air Force Security Instructions, and DOD security directives.
individual serves as the 705 CTS and DMOC advisor on security matters at the collateral classified level which include communications security (COMSEC) and protocols.
Coordinates and assists the unit and contractor security staffs on propo!cd new programs and projects for integration Into Che current DMOC facility and security Infrastructure.

- The employee will be required to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance with eligibility to Sensitive Compartmented information (SCI).

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes applying knowledge of a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices to review, independently analyze, andresolve difficult and complex security problems; apply policy direction to contractors and government/military personnel, and develop guidance for apply security policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods to a variety of work situations and various levels or degrees of security controls.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of DOD and USAF policies and procedures governing Information, Industrial, and Personnel Security programs.
Knowledge of required security training concepts, programs, procedures, and practices to assist managers in establishing and operating internal security programs.
Skill in developing, analyzing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and to improve the security program for the organization.
Ability to clearly, concisely, and accurately communicate orally and in writing.
Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).
