You will serve as a MIW REQUIREMENTS ANALYST in the SMWDC Headquarters of COMNAVSURFMINEWARDEVCEN.
Duties
You will support the execution of Warfare Improvement Program (WIP) and the development of the Surface Forces Annual Integrated Prioritized Capabilities List (IPCL).
You will provide recommendations on capability gap identification, priorities for research, development, procurement, and training on warfare issues for prioritization in the IPCL .
You will support specific lines of effort: Initial Capabilities Documents, Capabilities Development Documents, Concepts of Employment, Concepts of Operation to identify deficiencies and provide appropriate recommendations.
You will support planning, development, and implementation of Service/Command policies and programs for Mine Warfare (MIW) operations and resourcing.
You will independently exercise a wide range of authorities and responsibilities including development of work plans, setting priorities, identifying development test efforts and coordinating support for critical development efforts.
You will be responsible for providing well researched technical recommendations allowing activity to develop and execute MIW plan from requirement development through acquisition, testing, training and warfighting.
You will prepare and deliver briefings, lead strategy sessions by consulting and conveying results of analyses, present fiscal prioritization and support development of change recommendations regarding programming of MIW mission area requirements.
You will ensure Navy warfighters have the capability and capacity to counter enemy maritime mine threats.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing mission analysis to identify capability gaps and make recommendations for program changes or improvements in support of improved Fleet warfighting effectiveness.
