The primary purpose of the position is to perform building and/or utility maintenance and operation duties. Incumbent utilizes journeyman knowledge and skills in several trades and crafts.

Duties

As a Maintenance Mechanic you will: Perform general plumbing maintenance, such as maintaining plumbing to kitchen and bathroom fixtures and sprinkler systems and fuel supply pipe systems to buildings and residences. Perform general carpentry work, such as repairing, constructing, installing, and replacing doors, shelves, windows, trim, cabinets, shelves, shutters to buildings and inside of residences. Perform general HVAC work including repairing, replacing, and cleaning of HVAC systems in housing and buildings. Perform general painting, masonry work, roofing etc. Utilize a variety of materials, tools and equipment associated with the repair and maintenance of structures and grounds. Maintain, construct, repair, and alters a variety of structures and surfaces of brick, block, stone. Performs maintenance, repair, restoration and stabilization of cultural resources. Restore, stabilize, or repair floors of brick, or stone Pay Rates Dry Tortugas National Park, Monroe County, Florida, $30.19 - $35.22 per hour.
