This position is located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Division of Technology Services. As a/an Senior Financial Systems Analyst, you will offer Americans simple and accessible Treasury securities to build savings and help enable financial confidence.
Duties
As a Senior Financial Systems Analyst, you will:
Conduct studies and projects to improve policy, procedures, and controls to accomplish Office initiatives and support functions; ensure adherence to proper financing systems and standards; and determine the feasibility of proposed and mandated financing systems changes.
Continually review Fiscal Service automated systems and operations to determine the need for specific or general improvements, the adequacy of existing controls and procedures, compliance with security policies, the feasibility of automating specific operations, and the extent of compliance with established guidelines and regulations.
Serve as an advisor to management on matters involving Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and security compliance and works to ensure that financial systems are configured in a manner that will meet the FISMA requirements.
Responsible for ensuring operational compliance with multiple sources of governing industry standards and federal regulations, including consultation and guidance on policy provided by ISS Security in support of cybersecurity for applications within the RSS portfolio.
Qualifications

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes AT LEAST TWO (2) OF THE THREE (3):
Participating as a project leader in the development or design of financial systems to ensure proper application processing. OR
Defining requirements and determining project deliverables in order to meet business requirements. OR
Technical experience in AT LEAST TWO or more the following areas: system infrastructure, architecture, frameworks, batch processing and system interfaces.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
