About the position: This position will be assigned to the Prairie Ridge Golf Course. This position is considered regular part time. You are guaranteed 20 hours, however could work up to 40 hours per week. As a regular employee you are eligible to earn leave and other NAF Benefits.

Duties

Responsible for providing day to day leadership and guidance to Pro Shop staff. Provides day to day advice and guidance to employees for work assignments, relays instructions from supervisor, demonstrates work methods and provides work related guidance and training. Provides information, customer service, product knowledge to golf groups or event participants. Provides daily oversight to golf course recreation aids in the area of resource protection, POS procedures, and customer service. Monitors the golf event/tournament to ensure rules are enforced and planned activities are carried out. Coordinates with management all marketing pertaining to the golf operation aspects of Prairie Ridge Golf Course. Assess and coordinates with Manager on training requirements for pro shop staff members. Assist manager in pro shop inventories and daily financial paperwork. Performs fees/cash collection and deposit, ensuring proper accountability for all cash and non-negotiable items collected. Ensures that all security and safety procedures are adhered to. Ensures that all damage or malfunctions are repaired or replaced, and that management is notified of cause, time of repair, and cost. Maintains the operation of the driving range, ensures that range ball inventories are maintained to quantity and standard, and ensures that the range ball picker is maintained in workable order. Maintains all annual green fee membership records, handicap records, develops and maintains annual tournament schedules. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Requires knowledge and experience in planning, organizational techniques, and inter-personal skills. Requires knowledge and experience in golf course, golf cart, and driving range operations. Must have experience in the game of golf and extensive knowledge of the rules, procedures and etiquette of a golf course. Knowledge of and skill in upkeep of golf equipment. A working knowledge of computers, specifically Windows, Excel, Power Point. Must have cash accountability experience. Experience which demonstrates the ability to lead the work of others. Position is a Position of trust. Must be able to read, speak and write English.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
