Duties

Assists the Outdoor Recreation Manager in the inspection, operation, security and maintenance of a variety of recreational facilities and equipment operations.Opens and closes facilities.Receives, stores, controls and issues recreation supplies and equipment.Checks equipment for damage before issue and upon its return.Performs cleaning, repairs, reassembles and checks equipment.Performs outdoor and indoor maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, cutting grass, shoveling snow, minor maintenance and repair.Assists with cash handling, accounting, daily deposits, office filing, housekeeping, and other related office functions.Collects user fees, prepares daily cash collect reports and safeguards all funds and controlled documents. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Applicant must have experience which provided a working familiarity with the routines and procedures and practical knowledge and/or experience of recreational activities and equipment, rules and procedures in a recreation program activity which has involved recreation work in the area of specialty in which the position is assigned.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
