You will serve as a GG-0343-07 Management Analyst at the FARRAGUT TECHNICAL ANALYSIS CENTER in Suitland, MD, where you will be an entry/developmental level management liaison and point of contact for the Acoustic Intelligence (ACINT) Department for program management, requirements, and business financial management requirements.

Duties

You will help to manage assigned financial databases for analyzing financial and product metrics and reports as well as analyzing department needs and financial data to improve program performance. You will assist with the development of special projects or studies to identify and resolve operating issues and problems or with improvements to agency programs. You will assist in analyzing and evaluating department requirements and analysis and evaluation of financial data used to enhance program performance activities. You will gather, review, interpret, evaluate, and integrate information from designated sources to provide solutions to assigned problems. You will use effective verbal and written communication skills to present findings and reports to stakeholders. You will assist in developing briefing, presentation, and conference materials for supervisors and executive management, while ensuring information provided is accurate and concise.

  • You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
  • This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
  • This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period.
  • This a Defense Acquisition Workforce position that requires a Business Financial Management, Practitioner acquisition certification to achieve full performance level.
  • The incumbent has 60 months to earn this certification. Incumbent must obtain and maintain certification in accordance with DoD Instruction 5000.66.
  • Acquisition Workforce (AWF) members must complete 80 hours of Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) every two (2) years, in accordance with DoDI 5000.66.
  • Workforce members are encouraged to earn their CLPs by completing Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Credentials.
  • Obtaining certification within the allotted grace period and maintaining CLPs before and after achieving certification are conditions of employment.
  • Failure to meet these requirements could result in disciplinary action and/or removal from employment.
  • Some travel may be required (inside/outside U.S.).

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, such as: 1. Assist in maintaining assigned databases required to analyze department financial requirements and produce metrics and reports. 2. Gather, review, interpret, evaluate, and integrate information from designated sources to provide solutions to assigned problems. 3. Implement and coordinate a variety of fiscal policy and audit related activities impacting financial operations. 4. Assist in developing accurate and concise briefing, presentation, and conference materials for supervisors and executive management. OR I have successfully completed a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. OR I have completed 1 full year of graduate level education.
