Duties
Implements systems security plans, policies and preventive maintenance schedules. Carries out routine maintenance, upgrade, and support of servers and runs systems backups.
Provides ongoing optimization and problem solving support to minimize interruptions in customers' ability to carry out critical business activities.
Prepares and presents reports and briefings to technical staff. Interprets IT policies, standards and guidelines.
Using systems diagnostic tools and fault identification techniques, runs tests to verify operability and functionality.
Performs assignments using standard principles, theories, concepts and methods for systems administration and systems engineering.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Must be able to work during the hours of operation to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier III or higher background investigation.
Qualifications
Qualification Requirements are:
Experience, education and/or specialized training sufficient to demonstrate knowledge and skill in:
Principles and methods for integrating information systems components;
Performance tuning tools and techniques;
System diagnostic tool and fault identification techniques
Systems administration methods;
IT security principles
Highly Qualified candidates will have the following:
At least 3 years of experience as a server administrator.
Possess a valid CompTIA Security + Certification
Education
