Duties

This position is located in the National Firearms Act (NFA) Division, Industry Processing Branch (IPB) in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Serves as an industry liaison analyst on broad regulatory issues within the Bureau's jurisdiction and as a technical expert for the assigned commodity.

Qualifications

To qualify for 14, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS13. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Experience that a candidate must have include: Applying qualitative and quantitative analytical methods and techniques to evaluate program effectiveness and develop strategies; AND Applying the laws, rules, regulations, court decisions, and policies and procedures affecting the industries; AND Managing projects and analytical studies of complex administrative, and managerial functions relating to the quality improvement, productivity, control, and related strategic planning.
