The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees.
Air Combat Command (ACC), 16th Air Force (16 AF), 688th Cyberspace Wing (688 CW), 690th Cyberspace Operations Group (690 COG), 561 Network Operations Squadron (561 NOS), Standards and Evaluation (CYV), Peterson SFB, CO.
Duties
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the 561 NOS Standardization and Evaluation and Quality Assurance Section.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Represents the 561 NOS with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
Reviews and analyzes higher authority policies and regulations.
Analyzes and resolves problems and trends associated with performance and upgrade evaluations.
Requirements

- All new CES employees are required to complete a three-year CES trial period
- Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information.
- Involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.

- This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air

- Cyberspace Qualification is a condition of employment. This position includes Cyberspace work as a paramount duty requirement.
- Per DoDM 8140.03, para 4.2.a.(2)., requires foundational qualification requirements within 9 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role and resident qualification requirements within 12 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role.
- A waiver of these requirements may be granted per DoDM 8140.03. Failure to achieve and maintain the proper Cyberspace Qualification may result in removal from this position.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for Individual Occupational Requirements for Information Technology (IT) Management Series, 2210 (Alternative A)
This is a GG-13 position in the Cyber Excepted Service (CES). The GG-13 duties for the "Supervision and Management" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices in a professional or administrative occupation, such as would be gained through extended graduate study or experience and skill in applying this knowledge to
difficult and complex work assignments; or a comprehensive, intensive, practical knowledge of a technical field and skill in applying this knowledge to the development of new methods, approaches, or procedures. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of Standardization and Evaluation and Quality Assurance policies and procedures and knowledge of a full range of network systems (LAN/WAN) design principles, methodologies, and approaches used in developing, testing, installing, operating, managing, and maintaining network services that support functional requirements.
2. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
3. Knowledge of network operating and maintenance concepts and methods to troubleshoot network problems.
4. Knowledge of complex configuration management techniques and requirements appropriate to managing base level and larger network systems.
5. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
