Incumbent analyze and advise management on the evaluation of the effectiveness of programs and operations or the productivity and efficiency.

We encourage you to read this entire vacancy announcement prior to submitting your application.As a Management and Program Analyst, GS-0343-12, you will be responsible for:• Providing expert advice, guidance, and technical assistance in coordinating the development and revision of Departmental Directives (policies including Directives and Handbooks). • Developing, analyzing, and evaluating new or modified program/management policies, regulations, goals, or objectives. • Implementing business practice improvements for the management of existing Directives and the clearance of new and revised Directives. Maintains the official digital repository of Directives. • Analyzing and evaluating, on a quantitative/qualitative, basis the effectiveness of line program operations in meeting established goals and objectives.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualification RequirementsYou may meet the minimum qualifications for the GS-12, if you possess the specialize experience.Specialized Experience for the GS-12One year of experience in either federal or non-federal service that is equivalent to at least a GS-11 performing two (2) out of three (3) of the following duties or work assignments:1. Experience in developing and revising Departmental Directives (e.g., policies, Directives, or Handbooks).2. Experience in creating and maintaining systems for assessing the effectiveness of programs/management processes.3. Experience in communicating orally and in writing with various levels of customers.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) The quality of your experience will be measured by the extent to which you possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs). Ability to plan, schedule, and conduct projects and studies to evaluate and recommend ways to improve work operations in a program or support setting.4. Skill in adapting analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to measure/improve program effectiveness/organizational productivity.
