This position is located at Treasury Office of the Inspector General, Office of Audit. As a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) (Audit Manager), you will be responsible for supervising teams on audits and evaluations of Treasury's implementation of security programs and practices to ensure security controls are appropriately applied to IT systems for the protection of privacy and to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information.

Duties

As a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) (Audit Manager), you will: Prepare and review proposals for future audits/ evaluations of aforementioned systems, programs, and practices. Review audit/evaluation plans prepared by subordinates for submission to the IT Audit Director for approval. Supervise teams of staff in conducting audits and evaluations of Treasury information systems security program and practices to determine the degree of management effectiveness, operating efficiency, economy, and security with which auditees' IT systems are operating. Provide supervision and feedback on assessments on security events and processes made by the IT Specialist/AIC and other staff as appropriate to determine impact and implementation of corrective actions by auditee.

Qualifications

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: OR You may substitute education for general or specialized experience as follows: - Serving as team leader on IT audits/evaluations in the development of the audit approach, methods, milestones, and work approval processes; AND - Experience applying laws, regulations, policies, standards or procedures to audits and evaluations of IT systems; AND - Analyzing, communicating, and defending findings in both oral and written format related to audits and evaluations of IT systems. In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13level for 52 weeks.
