You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the BUREAU OF MEDICINE AND SURGERY (BUMED) of NAVMED OPER TRNG CENTER.
Duties
You will participate, prepare, staff and disseminate the installation’s Annual Threat Statement/Assessment.
You will coordinate with the CNIC on training and exercises to mitigate all hazards and threats.
You will develop and manage the facility specific Random Antiterrorism Measures (RAM) program.
You will plan and coordinate program and identify personnel to attend specialized Antiterrorism trainings.
You will identify vulnerabilities in facilities Antiterrorism infrastructure and address resourcing need to reduce the threat of terrorist attacks.
You will serve as the Antiterrorism/Force Protection Travel Coordinator managing the Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) travel request(s) for military, civilian, and contractor personnel.
You will conduct pre-travel training, Personnel Recovery- Isolated Personal Reports (ISOPREP), and Individual Antiterrorism Plans (IATP) in accordance with applicable directives.
You will manage the command's physical security program designed to prevent unauthorized access to personnel, equipment, installations, and information.
Requirements

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current DoD Antiterrorism Level II certification.
- You will be required to complete a DoD Security Accreditation and Certification (SPeD) certification within two years.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience planning, formulating, and coordinating all matters in regards to security of personnel, property, and material against terrorist threats.
Experience conducting Antiterrorism awareness training and other relevant security education programs to prepare personnel.
Experience overseeing actions to remediate or mitigate vulnerabilities identified during security assessments.
Experience managing travel requests for all personnel for the Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) travel.
Experience reviewing documents prior to public release and maintains a copy of all official information.
Experience inspecting and certifying facilities and storage containers are maintained per regulations.

Education

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
