This position is located at Departmental Offices,Management CFO - Strategy, Planning, and Performance Improvement. As a PROGRAM ANALYST, you will support the Department's enterprise strategy, performance, and enterprise risk program.

Duties

The Bureau's Recent Graduates Program affords developmental experiences in the Federal Government intended to promote possible careers in the civil service to individuals who have recently graduated from qualifying educational institutions or programs. Successful applicants are placed in a dynamic, developmental program with the potential to lead to a civil service career in the Federal Government. Following the completion of program requirements, selectees may be considered for non-competitive conversion to a career-conditional or term appointment. Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. To be eligible for the Recent Graduates Program, applicants must have, within the previous 2 years*, completed all educational requirements for a qualifying associates, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying institution; [or intended graduation is no more than 9 months from date of application. (However, you must graduate prior to being appointed to the position.)] if applicable. For more information on education requirements go to Treasury's Pathways Program. *Veterans who, due to a military service obligation, were precluded from applying to a Recent Graduates Program during any portion of the 2 year eligibility period may have their eligibility period extended so that they receive the full 2 years of eligibility. The remaining 2-year eligibility period will begin upon his or her release or discharge from active duty. The veteran's eligibility period may not extend beyond 6 years from the date of completion of all requirements of an academic course of study. For the GS-11, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-9 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques with qualitative and quantitative data to identify and communicate the efficiency or effectiveness of program operations; AND Experience with project and study planning to evaluate and recommend ways to improve program operations; AND Experience with developing goals and performance measures for programs. OR You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LL.M., if related. OR You may qualify with a combination of experience and education. For the GS-9, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-7 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Applying analytical and evaluative techniques to assist with qualitative and/or quantitative data reporting and improvement identification in support of programs and policy operations; AND Experience with managing customers and building effective long-term partnerships. OR You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: Master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; LL.B. or J.D., if related. OR You may qualify with a combination of experience and education. To combine education and experience, your total qualifying experience is calculated as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level.
