The Office of Application Processing and Systems Administration has oversight for the full life-cycle of contract management activities for the Patent Data and Data Management (PDDM) contract, the largest non-information technology contract within the Department of Commerce.
Duties
The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia.This position is telework eligible per agency and business unit discretion/policy.

You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. Specialized Experienceis experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-14.
Specialized experience for this position includes:
Providing high-level strategic advisory guidance and recommendations to senior leadership officials; AND
Developing and implementing strategies in support of contract and IT related infrastructure to ensure the timely processing of patent applications; AND
Managing the oversight, evaluation and assessment of vendor performance related to contract data quality, communication and information, and cybersecurity activities related to the contract; AND
Exercising technical and administrative supervisory personnel management responsibilities for branch employees.

Education
NOTE: There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at the GS-15 level.
