About the Position: Serves as the Director and Deputy Director's key administrative advisor and principal member of the staff and a liaison between the Executive Office, Secretariat, HQDA, and other Divisions regarding administrative management functions.

Duties

Analyzes and develops plans for staff integration, taskings, staff coordination, and dissemination of Director-level, organizational information. Oversees the execution of staff actions, determines status, prioritizes events, and provides comprehensive status briefs to the Director and Deputy Director. Analyzes and manages tasks specific staff and organizational elements responsible for researching, developing, and preparing documents, speeches, position papers, and briefings for use in meetings, briefings, and social functions. Maintains management of a variety of Headquarters Department of the Army, Office of the Secretary of Defense, and Congressional activities. Plans, coordinates and carries out visits of foreign and domestic visitors. Monitors government travel credit card activity to ensure accurate and timely reimbursements and payments.

  • The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementDecision MakingPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
