You will serve as a Human Resources Specialist (MIL/LEAD) in the Navy Dept Board of Decorations and Medals (NDBDM) of Department of the Navy.
Duties
You will draft Department of Navy (DON) positions on military award matters that may have significant media and congressional interest.
You will identify and triage the most important inquiries that will have the greatest impact the DON military award program.
You will be the subject matter expert and lead for a team conducting research and analyzing awards policies, statutes, and pertinent laws in advising all stakeholders.
You will monitor and inspect records management procedures and systems to ensure completeness, efficiency, and accuracy.
You will serve as an expert technical advisor on matters involving statutory entitlement and military awards for active and former service members.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience in researching, interpreting, and applying advanced military Human Resources principles relating to a military awards program.
Experience with producing professional briefs, reports, studies, etc. to relay to high level officials.
