Duties

Serve as Lead Quality Assurance Specialist for assigned items such as weapons, combat vehicles, tools and equipment, fire control devices, and auxiliary items. Participate in quality control and reviews. Plan, prepare, administer and execute the plan and procedures for the organization. Execute quality reviews to determine compliance with technical data. Organizes comprehensive reports of complete studies. Provides on-the-job training to new or developing employees

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • DATACL1i TACOM D and A Level 1 Certification Requirement. The incumbent must meet all requirements for this certification within 12 months of being placed.

Qualifications

Term Appointment NTE - Position may be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 13 months. Term appointments may be extended beyond of six(6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, Term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years. Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a Term appointment will be appointed/converted into a Term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementCommunicationsPlanning and EvaluatingQuality Assurance Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
