The primary purpose of this position is to To plan, direct, organize, and exercise control over InformationTechnology (IT) Systems Analysts engaged in integrating IT systems to meet the mission requirements for the Air Force Mission Systems.
Duties
1.Serve as IT Project Manager responsible for managing the acquisition, development, and implementation of new or modified information systems, subsystems, or equipment items to meet cost, schedule, performance, and supportability criteria.
2. As a recognized expert, leads, provides technical guidance, advisory support and assistance on projects and/or major phases on contract activities and to functional users.
3. Represents the organization on assigned programs/projects at various organizations including DoD, COCOM, AF, MAJCOM, host base and subordinate units/sites.

- All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
- The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Special Sensitive Security Clearance with access to sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A Non-Disclosure agreement must be signed.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for Individual Occupational Requirements for Information Technology (IT) Management Series, 2210 (Alternative A)

This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of a wide range of IT principles, methods, advancements, policy and planning, systems analysis concepts and techniques, new and emerging information technologies, security methods and principles, design, development, testing and applications to include hardware and software.
2. Knowledge of the full range of Development, Security, Operations principles and techniques at the Air Force and/or MAJCOM level.
3. Knowledge of Agency, Air Force, DoD and national-level doctrine, regulations, policies, guidelines, requirements, and initiatives related to assigned program(s) and/or project(s).
4. Knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of DoD and Air Force organizations to provide command level staff guidance on various management programs and issues.
5. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. Ability to apply laws, executive orders, regulations, policies, and concepts pertaining to military and civilian personnel programs.
6. Knowledge of a wide range of cost and economic analyses principles, techniques, and practices, especially activity-based costing and management of operations and support functions.
7. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, in working out solutions to problems or questions.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
