About the Position: Serves as a Doctrine Specialist performing doctrine development and writing of Military Human Resources (HR), and other sustainment doctrine across the Combined Arms Support Command (CASCOM), Combined Arms Center (CAC), Training and Doctrine command (TRADOC), Solider Support Institute (SSI), and Army Joint and Multinational forces.
Duties
Present briefings to managers, staff officials, senior military/civilian officials and higher headquarters personnel to justify and present position on doctrine and policy.
Complete functional and analytical assignments associated with military Human Resources and Sustainment Modernization experiments and studies.
Prepare military human resources and sustainment management doctrine.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes procedures and responsibilities across the strategic, operational, and tactical levels of war to support Modernization and Integration; application of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues and/or studies concerning doctrine in order to provide complex developments, projects, and/or studies; and knowledge of military command, mission command, mission, program structures, doctrine, concepts and techniques. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
