You will serve as an Administrative/Technical Specialist (Equipment and Calibration Technician) in the Product & Process Scale-Up & Manufacturing Technology Division; Energetics Manufacturing Department of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV.
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-4 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-11 and GS-12.
Duties
You will support the division in all energetics manufacturing areas to ensure equipment and facilities are ready for research and development efforts as well as production efforts.
You will be responsible for maintaining the divisions calibrated equipment.
You will be responsible for maintaining production equipment throughout the Division to include troubleshooting and repair of equipment; and procuring needed equipment parts and supplies.
You will act as a deputy support for the division’s facilities coordinator.
You will track quantities of consumable supplies throughout the division and identify when additional supplies needs procured, will receive supplies, inventory, and organize supplies in stock areas or production facilities.
You will support a manufacturing organization.
You will be required to report to the duty location advertised in the announcement on a regular and reoccurring basis. Occasional telework options may be available.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals).
- You will be required to lift objects up to 40 lbs.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 pay band (GS-9/10 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: maintaining energetics manufacturing equipment, supplies, or facilities to ensure readiness for research and development or production efforts.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR
Successful completion of an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
