This position is located at Office of Payment Integrity Solutions, Analytics, and Technology Division. As a Project Manager (Agile), you will be responsible for developing, planning, and accomplishing project goals, performing research and analysis in support of the projects, and identifying and resolving project-related problems.
Duties
As a Project Manager (Agile), you will:
Be a deputy product owner, who is responsible for bridging the gap between the customer, business stakeholders, and the development team.
Guide the development of software development toward a long-term vision using shorter solutions and the agile methodology.
Develop, maintain, and demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of business and technical environments.
Develop project plans, set priorities and deadlines for completion of work, assign, and distribute tasks among team members based on priorities and deadlines.
Proactively work to identify, communicate, and resolve project issues and risks that interfere with project execution or success.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year and indicate number of hours worked per week on your résumé.
For the GS-13: Specialized experience is defined as 52 weeks (or one full year) of experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent in the Federal service that is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and which has equipped the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Specialized experience for this position includes ALL of the following:
- Applying Agile project management methodologies, procedures, techniques and tools, AND
- Leading forums, discussions or presentations to discuss objectives, make recommendations or persuade a variety of audiences, AND
- Formulating, justifying, and monitoring the execution of budget plans to fund the implementation of programs and services, AND
- Experience utilizing program and project management (P/PM) guidelines such as Program Management Improvement Accountability Act (PMIAA) or Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of a program.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
