Duties
Develops memorandums of instruction for operational events hosted by the joint base garrison.
Serves as the central point of control for all activities on the installation.
Maintains and publish weekly joint base garrison operations suspense calendar and two-year long-range calendars.
Assists with the operations of the garrison Emergency Operations Center.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
- This position is obligated. You will be asked to sign an agreement acknowledging that you are aware of the obligation and willing to be displaced under reduction in force procedures upon the return of the former incumbent.
- This is a Term position scheduled to last 3 years A term position may be extended to a maximum of six years depending upon the needs of management.
- Term employment is subject to a one year trial period. Employees serving a trial period can be removed with limited appeal rights.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) you must report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- The duties for this position require shift work and/or rotating shifts; the employee will be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays and may periodically be required to be on-call.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience and/or education requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing clerical and administrative tasks such as preparing correspondence, reports, and other documents; scheduling meetings and/or conferences; and maintaining office files, reference materials and forms. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
