About the Position: Serves as technical and procedural support to the Administrative Officer (AO) and personnel at the Area Office. Utilizes expertise in the technical, procedural, and administrative functions of the office to provide accurate guidance, analysis, interpretation, and assistance. Serves as primary point of contact and provides oversight, continuity of services, and smooth workflow when the AO is absent or unavailable.
Duties
Management and staff advisement on administrative office functions/procedures
Maintaining the Projects timekeeping entry and leave requests
Coordinating with Human Resources with recruitment requests and actions
Managing the Government Purchase Card and supplies for the Project
Maintaining the Projects accident reporting program
Employee in-processing and out-processing
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to complete the required initial training to obtain and maintain a Government Purchase Card (GPC) within 12 months of being appointed.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to occasionally lift and carry items up to 40 pounds.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work experience with policies, procedures, and regulations related to the functions and work of the office to include three (3) or more of the following: personnel activities, advising staff on technical/procedural administrative procedures, purchasing, timekeeping, and travel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
