You will serve as a TRAINING & COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR in the PUBLIC WORKS BUSINESS LINE, COASTAL INTERGRATED PRODUCT DIVISION of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will administer safety programs to make sure employees have the training and equipment necessary to perform their jobs safely.
You will conduct job hazard analysis of work processes to identify existing or potential hazards within a safety program.
You will implement an occupational safety and health program to prevent industrial mishaps and accidents.
You will implement fall prevention and control measures to address recognized hazards.
Requirements

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Implementing safety and compliance programs for diverse Public Works operations platforms; 2) Applying new theories and developments to address various ways to employ training requirements; 3) Using computer software resources, such as Maximo, ESAMS and Microsoft to manipulate data from various reporting systems; 4) Effectively able to communicate both orally and written; and 5) Reviewing safety manuals and identifying any discrepancies or potential conflicts.
