THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a PROGRAM ANALYST, Position Description Number T58254P1 and is part of the KS Joint Forces Headquarters, National Guard.
Duties
As a Program Analyst, GS-0343-09, you will serve as the analyst and consultant for the management and administration of programs within the directorate or division. Serves as key coordination point for all program requirements. This work requires knowledge of management principles, organizational theory and techniques of analysis. Knowledge of agency administrative guidance and operating procedures coupled with analytical ability is required to develop information required by the chief to determine feasibility and legality of proposed program and operational plans. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education, or training in administrative, professional, investigative, technical, or other responsible work which demonstrates analytical ability and a practical and theoretical knowledge of the functions, processes, and principles of management. Knowledge of the National Guard organizational structures, functions, procedures, and techniques. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, education, or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-7). Must have experience, education, or training which has provided application of practices, theories, techniques, and methods of management. Experience analyzing, interpreting, and developing policies and procedures of local management.
ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Certification Level 2: THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051, amending 10 United States Code, section 1599d. Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program. This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
Physical Demands: Work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required
Work Environment: Work is typically performed in an adequately lighted and climate controlled office and may require occasional travel.
