This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS), Data and Systems Group (DSG).
As a Budget Analysis, GS-0560-14, you will serves as the budget lead for all DSG systems and related contract activities to include budget formulation, execution, and overall governance and oversight of the DSG budget.
Duties
Serve as a technical advisor to leadership in support of DSG’s major program systems and budgetary implications for systems such as Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) and the Medicaid and CHIP Business Information Solutions (MACBIS).
Coordinate requests from within and outside of DSG for funding projects and initiatives as part of these budgets.
Analyze and reviews budget formulation and budget execution process and recommends improvements resulting in efficiencies and enhanced work products.
Present via oral presentation and written documentation process improvements to DSG management, CMS and HHS leadership and can articulate the process improvements’ budgetary significance in a clear and concise manner.

In order to qualify for the GS-14 , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: 1. Preparing and analyzing budget estimates, tracking obligations, and making comparisons to the operating budget; 2. Monitor the execution of the approved budget to ensure all obligations, expenditures, and disbursements meet requirements and sufficient funds are available; 3. Managing budget activities for software development product delivery to ensure consistency among funding and programs; AND 4. Preparing written documents for diverse audiences, e.g., end users, financial staff, senior leadership, and other non-technical audiences.
