You will serve as a DISTRIBUTION PROCESS WORKER SUPERVISOR in the MATERIAL READINESS DEPT of NAVSEALOGCENKYPTDIVNUWC MECH PA in Crane, IN.
Duties
You will supervise employees either directly or indirectly through subordinate leaders and/or supervisors.
You will direct employees engaged in receiving, storing, and assembling for issue, shipment and distribution a variety of bin and bulk supplies, materials, equipment, and commodities.
You will use mechanized, automated, and manual material moving equipment, devices, and systems to carry out work assignments.
You will plan the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials based on workload projections on a weekly or monthly basis.
You will establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences, in accordance with general work schedules, methods, and policies established by higher-level supervisors.
You will determine the number and types of workers needed for specific projects.
You will monitor work operations by contractor personnel and report problems and deficiencies to next higher supervisor.
You will assign work to individual workers by verbal or written instructions indicating methods to be used, explaining difficult technical requirements of tasks to be performed and demonstrate processes to subordinates.
You will identify and investigate work related problems, and implement corrective actions which can be taken within the limits of authority and without affecting work operations
You will plans and establish overall leave schedules and will approve and or disapprove special leave requests.
You will determine the training needs of subordinates and arrange for necessary training.
You will sets performance standards for subordinates and make formal appraisals of their work performance.
You will Initiate disciplinary actions as needed and will develop, modify, and/or review position descriptions, and initiate recommendations for promotion or
reassignment of subordinates.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.

- You are required to possess a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- Must be able to obtain a Forklift/MHE license and/or certification within 90 days of appointment and maintain thereafter every five years until age 60 and annually thereafter.
