The position is located in the Project Management Branch, Office of Project Delivery, Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division, Federal Highway Administration, Ashburn, VA. The incumbent is a Project Scheduling Specialist, and operates, prepares and analyzes reports for, enhances, and integrates the EFLHD's complex Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) using Windows-based scheduling, database, and programming applications (Oracle Primavera P6 and other Microsoft applications).

Qualifications

To qualify for the GS-11 on Experience, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-09 it must include:
Experience using scheduling software to create resource (and cost) loaded schedules, histograms, resource bar charts, project update reports and similar reports.
To qualify for the GS-12 on Education alone, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-11 it must include:
Experience using scheduling software to create resource (and cost) loaded schedules, histograms, resource bar charts, project update reports and similar reports; AND
Experience applying project management procedures and processes and providing guidance to Project Managers and/or staff; AND
Experience developing technical reports and preparing briefings to customers.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will also be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Project Management - Knowledge of the principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, and managing projects and resources, including monitoring and inspecting costs, work, and contractor performance.
Computer Skills - Uses computers, software applications, databases, and automated systems to accomplish work.
Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
