About the Position: Logistics Management Specialist located in the Missiles Directorate.
*Position is a designated Security Cooperation Workforce(SCW) position with conditions of employment outlined in the interim Implementation Guidelines for the DoD Security Cooperation Workforce Certification Program 2.0, November 6, 2023.
Duties
Serve as a Logistics Management Specialist on a weapon system basis by maintaining life cycle cognizance of plans, programs, and schedules of weapon systems.
Technically evaluate from a logistics support standpoint the adequacy of plans and supporting actions to assure interface with total Army program objective.
Manage areas of the logistics program such as the operations and activities related to deployment, Foreign Military Sales, procurement, maintenance, supply, training, storage, transportation of materiel, operation of facilities, and readiness.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Ocassional (TDY) travel.
- Must meet position requirements for certification at Level II in Acquisition Career Field Life Cycle Logistics within 24 months of entrance on duty.
- This is a Non-Key Security Cooperation (SC) position. The position requires DoD SC Workforce (SCW) Certification. The incumbent must complete certification-associated with the position’s SCW certification level.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes overseeing the worldwide integrated material management, logistical operations related to deployment, Foreign Military Sales, Integrated Support for weapon systems; Analyzing weapon system plans, schedules, repair parts; Developing budgetary requirements for assigned systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
